Paint Correction
Swirls, scratches, oxidation, and dull paint don’t stand a chance. At Obsessed Detail KC, we restore your vehicle’s true clarity and gloss with expert-level precision and over two decades of correction experience.

Full Decontamination Wash
We begin with a two-bucket hand wash using pH-neutral soap to remove surface grime. Then we use an iron remover to dissolve embedded brake dust and industrial fallout, followed by a clay bar treatment to pull bonded contaminants from the clear coat. This leaves the surface smooth and ready for correction.

Paint Inspection & Test Spot
Using high-powered LED lights and paint depth gauges, we inspect every panel for swirl marks, scratches, and previous repair work. We then perform a test spot to determine the ideal combination of polishing pad, compound, and technique for your specific paint.

Compounding / Cutting Stage (if needed)
For vehicles with moderate to severe defects, we begin with a compounding stage using an aggressive polish and cutting pad. This step levels the clear coat to remove deep swirls, oxidation, and other heavy defects.

Refinement / Finishing Polish
Once heavy correction is complete, we follow up with a softer finishing polish to remove any haze left by the cutting stage. This step enhances gloss, sharpens reflections, and leaves a flawless, high-gloss finish.

Panel Wipe / Surface Prep
After correction, we use an alcohol-based panel wipe to remove polishing oils and residues. This reveals the true condition of the paint and prepares it for protection — whether that’s ceramic coating, sealant, or wax.

Final Inspection & Touch-Up
Every panel is rechecked under direct lighting to ensure consistency, clarity, and perfection. If any micro-marring or missed defects are found, we address them before delivering the vehicle.
